Red Wine Sauce


Red Wine Sauce

Ingredients:



  • 2 large shallots
  • 1 cup vegetable bouillon
  • 1/2 cup red wine
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 heaping tbsp flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation:
1. Coat the bottom of a non-stick pan with 1 drop of oil, spread with a paper towel. Brown the finely chopped shallots.
2. Add the egg yolk, vegetable bouillon, wine, salt and pepper. Stir and simmer in a double boiler.
3. Mix flour with a small amount of water before adding to the sauce.
4. Continue to stir and simmer until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
5. Pour over grilled or roasted red meats.

Yield:
4 servings
