2 1/2 c flour (I use wheat) 1/2 tsp salt 3/4 c sugar 1 egg 1 c oats, uncooked 1 tsp baking powder 3/4 c shortening 2 TBSP milk 1 tsp vanilla 1/2 c raisins, optional
Mix all ingredients well & roll on lightly floured board to 1/4 inch thick. Cut into heart shapes using cookie cutter. Bake on greased cookie sheet about 15 mins at 350 degrees. Decorate with confectioner's sugar frosting.
