Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I can't believe it, but it's actually snowing here in Kansas City today...it isn't sticking, but I love snow, so I'm praying that this is a good omen for a white Christmas. I love the holidays!

I hope you are all planning time with family and friends and of course, a wonderful holiday meal. I especially hope you'll browse through our recipes for something new to add to your holiday table. We all love the family favorites that we grew up with, but something new on the table can become a new tradition and a family favorite!

Some of our ladies have been busy posting. Chernl posted a wonderful recipe for Crockpot Mac and Cheese. It looks delicious and everyone loves Mac and Cheese at holiday time (and all year!) I especially like this recipe, because using the crockpot will free up an eye on the stove and room in the oven! Thanks Chernl!

Cassi is busy moving from Indiana to the great Republic of Texas but she found the time to post a recipe that I'm going to try next Thursday, Applesauce Muffins...they sound wonderful and they'd be the perfect fall bread to serve! Chelle posted a recipe that I also want to try, Stuffed Sweet Potatoes. They sound heavenly, with pineapple and brown sugar...good one Chelle!

Dianne posted something that would be a wonderfully different idea for Thanksgiving dessert...hey...ya can't go wrong with chocolate, right? She posted Chocolate Silk Mousse. How good does that sound?

Not to be left out, I posted my mother's scalloped corn and oyster recipe. It's really good, and probably close to something they would have had at the first Thanksgiving Nova's Scalloped Corn and Oysters. I also posted a recipe that I'm deffinately trying this Thanksgiving, Apple Butter Pumpkin Pie...it just says "Autumn is here".

Since Chelle and I are both on Weight Watchers, I also posted the absolutely addictive Weight Watcher's Crustless Pumpkin Pie and Weight Watcher's Pumpkin Spice Cupcakes. Both of these yummy treats are only 1 point each on the Weight Watcher's plan, so Chelle and I can really enjoy them to our heart's (and waistline's) content!

If anyone else is interested in the Weight Watcher's program, I have started a new recipe website just for WW recipes and support. Check it out...it's in the begining stages, so we could really use new folks posting up there. If you know someone on WW, please send them our weblink. Thanks!

It's The Skinny Cook~Recipes for Weight Watchers

I hope that everyone has a blessed Thanksgiving and that the Lord has made us all truly thankful for what we have received this year. Many blessings to you and your families.

Love,
