Cheeseburger Sloppy Joes

2 lbs ground beef or turkey
1 med onion, finely chopped
2 stalks celery, finely chopped
1 can (10oz) condensed tomato soup
1/4 cup water
2 Tbsp tomato paste
1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tsp Italian seasoning
1 cup 1/2-inch cubes Cheddar Cheese
Salt and pepper
4-6 Kaiser buns, split and toasted

In a large skillet over med-high heat, cook ground beef, breaking up with spoon, until browned.  With a slotted spoon, transfer meat to slow cooker.  Add onion to slow cooker, along with celery, tomato soup (undiluted), water, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, and Italian seasoning, stirring to combine.  Cover and cook on Low for 6-10 hours or High 3-4 hours.  Reduce heat to Low.  Add cheese cubes.  Cover and cook another 10-15 minutes or until cheese melts.  Season to taste with salt and pepper.  Spoon mixuter over half a kaiser bun and top with other half.

*NOTE*  I also make this just in the skillet.  After browning the meat, I just combine the other ingredients and cook until the cheese melts.  My family LOVES these either way I cook them.
