1 cucumber, peeled, seeded and chopped 1 clove garlic 1 small red bell pepper, seeded and diced 1 small green bell pepper, seeded and diced 2 large, ripe tomatoes, seeded and chopped 3 cups tomato juice 1/4 cup dry white wine or sherry, or chicken broth with a few teaspoons lemon juice 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper 1 to 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce 1 tablespoon fresh lemon or lime juice salt, to taste 4 tablespoons sour cream, for garnish 4 tablespoons fresh parsley or cilantro, for garnish
In a blender, combine first 10 ingredients; blend until juicy but still chunky. Season with lemon juice or lime juice and salt. Thoroughly chill before serving. Serve garnished with sour cream and parsley sprigs, if desired, in a bowl as you would use to serve soup.
