HAPPY SUMMER!!!


I don't know where you all are...but here in Kansas City the heatwave has finally caught up with us! It's going to be in the 100*s all weekend! Needless to say, I'll be using the slowcooker or grilling out...too hot to heat up this old house!

The Slowcooker section has been divided into main courses/sides Slowcooker Recipes and Slowcooker Desserts and Breads. I was suprised to find out that you can cook alot more in a slowcooker than I thought...what a great idea for this versatile and energy saving appliance! We'd love to see your favorite slowcooker recipes and crockpot tips up here too...the more the merrier!

Cassi and her lovely daughter (LilMs) are lounging in beautiful Washington State for a well deserved vacation...so she won't be doing any cooking for a few days. Cassi is the slowcooker queen, for those who don't know it, and I'm sure she'll have fun trying and reviewing the new recipes, when they get back. Have fun girls!

MrsP has made a great suggestion ...this weekend I'll be dividing the Gluten Free section into subforums to make it easier to use. Even if you don't need to follow a gluten free diet, check out the recipes anyway...many also double as low carb recipes and are just plain delicious! Thanks MrsP for the great suggestion.

Giving us your ideas on how we can improve our little corner of cyberspace is what it's all about! This is not really our kitchen it's all of our kitchen. This website can only be improved by everyone sharing and posting recipes, tips and joining in the fun!

Cassi posted a poll question that I hope everyone will try to stop by and answer...it's desinged to let us (you too) know what type of recipes everyone is looking for. Kitchen Poll...by participating, you help improve this online cookbook for yourself and everyone else! We want to make this site user friendly...a place you come to for great food and fellowship!

I hope everyone checks it out...as well as the cool drinks, salads and frozen/refrigerator desserts that have been posted lately. Keep cool and enjoy what's left of the summer! Before you know it fall will be upon us...Blessings...
