Grandmother Paul's Fried Chicken & Milk Gravy

Chicken:

I liked this chicken recipe and it was easy to make...but I still think I like the McCormick's Season and Fry better. Maybe I'm just used to the little bit of spice (turmeric) McCormick puts in their mix, and the way the batter sticks and gets crisp on the chicken...this chicken wasn't like that.

It was good, moist and tasty, but it had a tendency to want to burn. The coating was good, but more bland than I'm used to. I think it's a good basic fried chicken recipe and I'll try it again. My husband liked it alot, but next time I'll add turmeric, cajun seasoning and garlic powder to the flour.

Gravy: It was really great, just like Mammas.
