Tostado Casserole

I made the Tostado Casserole for dinner tonight and it got a from all 3 of us! We added some salad to it and sour cream too. OH MY GOSH!!! Great stuff!

Thanks, TeddyBear for this wonderful recipe. DH said it needs to go on a regular menu rotation!

I posted this recipe (and I did credit it to 'my friend' - I didn't take credit for it Teddy!) over at Dixie's Designs while I was trading recipes - someone tried this and this is what she had to say about it ....

Well, I made youir dish tonight Cass, and it was a winner here!  I got three out of four liking it, :)

It was delicious!!

Your very welcome Cassi! I always put sour cream on mine and DS but DH doesn't like it. I also posted a Taco Hero sandwich. It's very good on a summer day when you want something fast and easy.

Wow! This was fantastic! Even my son, Sam ate it...and he hates everything! It was so savory and so good. It reminded me alot of my tacos (I "ice" the inside of the taco shell with refried beans) and this tasted alot like it. I did use Mexican cheese (shredded kind for Tacos) and I probably used a little more cheese...ok...alot more cheese than the recipe called for One half cup of cheese just ain't gonna do it for my family...lol...we are cheese freaks! It really was great and I highly recommend it. It was especially good with Casey's Mexican Rice.

Thanks for the recipe Teddy...we'll have it often!

I was requested to make this again last night!! This time I used Fritos instead of Tostitos ...
with the Fritos - DH and I preferred it with Tostitos, DD preferred it with Fritos, but all in all this is definately a keeper!!!

Thanks again, Teddybear!!

Ok....before I give my review...let me tell you what this blonde did!!!!

I did not have a chance to print this, so I had it on the laptop and ran back and forth....so I forgot to save some of the tomato sauce for the refried beans....so I improvised!  I added the beans in with the meat and so I just had one layer between the chips and cheese.  Here's my review....

Out of the four of us it got  so I gotta give it the 5th  since we all loved it so much!  Everyone agreed it is definitely a keeper!

Since I'm finally getting to cook again, I picked this one and the Baked Spaghetti Pie to try out this week.  Looking forward to trying it as well!

Thanks for this one Tammy!
