This is my economical recipe for homemade spaghetti sauce:
1 cup grated carrot 1/2 cup grated onion 1/4 cup olive oil 1 15-ounce can tomato sauce 1 cup water 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt a dash of pepper
Cook carrot and onion in oil until lightly browned. Add tomato sauce, water and seasonings. Cover and simmer 30 minutes. Serve over spaghetti or in any pasta recipe. Freezes well. Makes 4 servings.
