1 cup brown sugar 1 cup white sugar 1 cup shortening 2 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 2 cups flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1/4 tsp. salt 2 cups oatmeal 2 cups potato chips (crushed) 1 cup nuts (chopped)
Cream sugars and shortening. Add eggs and vanilla. Sift the flour, soda and salt, add oatmeal, chips and nuts. Roll into balls and flatten with a fork. Bake at 375 for 10 to 15 minutes.
For extra flavor, you can add chocolate chips to batter above.
