8 cups water 1 package (1 pound) dried split peas, sorted and rinsed 3 medium carrots, diced (1 1/2 cups) 1 medium onion, chopped (1 1/2 cup) 1 medium stalk celery, chpped (1/2) I just put the whole thing in because I like the flavor but not to eat 1 cup diced Canadian-style bacon (5 oz) 1 tsp salt 1 tsp dried thyme leaves 1/4 tsp dried rosemary leaves, crumbled 1/4 tsp pepper
Combine in crockpot cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or until done.
Place 2 cups of the soup in blender or food processor, repeat using another 2 cups of soup in blender. Stir all blended soup back into the crockpot with the rest of the remaining soup.
