breakfast | Pair one or two of these crunchy, chewy bites with nonfat yogurt or a piece of fruit and you've got a great breakfast on the run.

Ingredients

1/3 cup reduced-calorie margarine, soft
1/3 cup sugar
1/4 cup honey
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 1/4 cup dried mixed fruit, such as raisins, apples and cranberries
1 cup uncooked quick oats
1 3/4 cup uncooked old fashioned oats, coarsely crushed
1/4 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

  1. Combine margarine, sugar and honey in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a boil; boil for 1 minute. Remove from heat; stir in remaining ingredients.

  2. Press mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch square baking pan coated with cooking spray. Allow to cool and then cut into 16 pieces. Store in a covered container in the refrigerator.
