Kodiak Casserole

*This is an Alaskan recipe from the 1950's. I havn't tried it yet but probably will this week...it has everything in it that my hubby loves. Sounds yummy!

Kodiak Casserole

1 pound lean ground beef
1 cup chopped onion
1 garlic clove, finely minced
2 cup chopped celery
1 1/2 cups chopped green pepper
1/2 (5 3/4-ounce) jar stuffed green olives, undrained
1/2 (4-ounce) can mushroom stems and pieces, undrained
1/2 (10.75-ounce) can condensed tomato soup, undiluted
1/2 (eight-ounce) jar picante sauce
1/2 (eighteen-ounce) bottle barbecue sauce
2 cups dry egg noodles, cooked and drained
1/2 cup (2 ounces) shredded cheddar cheese

1. In a Dutch oven, brown ground beef with onions and garlic; drain.
2. Add remaining ingredients except cheese; mix well. Place in a greased casserole dish; cover and bake at 350*F (175*C) for 1 hour or until hot and bubbly.
3. Sprinkle with cheese just before serving.

Serves 8.
