Hi Everyone,


I just joined this today and am looking forward to exploring every bit of this site.


I am 62 yrs old, recently divorced after 25 yrs of marriage, but life does go on, doesn't it?  I have 6 grown children and 6 grand-children.  I love to cook, but don't do as much of it now as I used to.  I live in SE Colorado and love it here.

Hello and welcome. I am sorry to hear about your divorce. It will take you a while to grieve and learn to adjust. My dad died recently and it takes a while to get your feet on the ground. My mom is still floundering. They were married for almost 54 years.

Most of us know each other from another board. You can find us via the links to the alfabetsoup. If you care to check us out and chat with us.

We are the gluten free dieters at the P house hold. My DD, (I think she joined here as MrsBatman) 'Amanda" is celiac and just recently married, so you will see her pop in now and then for recipes.

Coe and Cassi are in and out right now due to vacation and work schedules, but they are some of the nice people in life. I am sure you will enjoy getting to know them.

I saw where my sister Z had come in and posted. I am usually called MrsP..........unless it is Teddybear and then it is usually Pain in the Neck. LOL

Welcome JeaneB! We are so happy to have you here and really look forward to getting to know you better.

My name is Colette (aka...Coe...aka...Shorty...aka Samzmom...lol). I'm a 44 year old wife and Mom from Kansas City, MO. I love God, my family and friends and feeding people. I work as a digital photographic analyst at a professional photo lab, here in town. I have one spoiled son, (Sam), one spoiled hound dog (Clifford), and two incredibly spoiled cats, (Gunther and Jinxy). My hubby, Larry, works as a dept. manager for WalMart.

I'm so sorry to hear about your divorce, that has to be so difficult. My best friend divorced after 19 years of marriage and it has taken her a while to adjust...but to be honest, I've never seen her so happy. God provides, I really believe that. I hope that you enjoy being here with us and I encourage you to check out our sister site, the one MrsP mentioned...we love having new members on Alfabet Soup...they're a great bunch of gals and we've prayed and cried eachother through just about all of life's trials. My name's Michelle (aka Chelle aka Shelly).  I'm a homeschooling mom of 2 girls ages 10 and 5.  I also help my husband run my FIL's store.  So I'm in and out!  We live in the great wonderful state of Tennessee!!!!!

BYW....I got a new cookbook..Busy People's Low Fat Cookbook..so once I get a chance...I'll post some recipes from it!
