GRILLED CORN ON THE COB


Land O'Lakes Recipe

Serve grilled hamburgers, baked beans and relishes with this seasoned corn-on-the-cob.
Preparation 10 min.  
Grilling 20 min.  

Dill Butter Ingredients:

*  1/4 cup LAND O LAKES® Butter, softened
*  1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives
*  1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
*  1 teaspoon lemon juice

Italian Butter Ingredients:

*  1/4 cup LAND O LAKES® Butter, softened
*  1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
*  1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil leaves
*  1 tablespoon chopped fresh oregano leaves

Horseradish Parsley Butter Ingredients:

*  1/4 cup LAND O LAKES® Butter, softened
*  1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
*  2 teaspoons prepared horseradish
*  1/4 teaspoon salt
*  1/8 teaspoon pepper

Corn Ingredients:

*  8 ears corn-on-the-cob, husked

Instructions:

Heat gas grill on medium or charcoal grill until coals are ash white.
Combine all ingredients for desired seasoned butter in small bowl; mix well. Spread about 1 tablespoon seasoned butter evenly over each ear of corn. Wrap each ear of corn in double thickness heavy-duty aluminum foil; tightly seal top and sides.
Place corn on grill directly over coals. Grill, turning every 5 minutes, until tender (20 to 25 minutes).
Yield: 8 servings

HERBED BUTTERED CORN

Grilled corn-on-the-cob is easy to prepare and tasty when served with this flavorful spread.
Preparation 30 min.  
Standing 1 hrs.  
Grilling 25 min.  

Corn Ingredients:

*  6 ears corn-on-the-cob, in husks
*  Water

Herb Butter Ingredients:

*  1/2 cup LAND O LAKES® Butter, softened
*  2 tablespoons finely chopped red bell pepper
*  1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning*
*  1/4 teaspoon salt
*  1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions:

Loosen husks on ears of corn enough to remove silk. Fill 8-quart saucepan with water. Dip corn in water; shake well. Rewrap husks around corn. Plunge corn in water; let stand until husks are soaked (about 1 hour).
Meanwhile, heat gas grill on medium or charcoal grill until coals are ash white.
Stir together all herb butter ingredients in small bowl until well mixed; set aside.
Place corn on grill. Grill, turning often, until corn is crisply tender (25 to 30 minutes).
To serve, immediately husk corn; serve with herb butter.
*Substitute 1/8 teaspoon each dried oregano leaves, dried marjoram leaves and dried basil leaves and 1/16 teaspoon rubbed dried sage.

SEASONED GRILLED CORN

Simple, delicious garlic-flavored butter adds great flavor to grilled corn.
Preparation 15 min.  
Grilling 15 min.  

Ingredients:

*  1 cup LAND O LAKES® Butter, softened
*  1 (0.7-ounce) package (2 tablespoons) garlic salad dressing mix
*  1 teaspoon salt
*  8 ears fresh corn, husked

Instructions:

Heat gas grill on medium or charcoal grill until coals are ash white.
Have ready 8 squares of heavy-duty aluminum foil. (If desired, 2 to 4 ears may be wrapped together.)
Combine butter, dressing mix and salt in small bowl; mix well. Spread 2 tablespoons butter mixture evenly over each ear. Wrap each ear in aluminum foil; tightly seal top and sides.
Place packets on grill. Cover; grill, turning once, until tender (15 to 20 minutes). Serve hot with additional butter.
Yield: 8 ears

ITALIAN GRILLED CORN

The Italian butter turns this grilled corn on the cob into a new taste sensation.
Preparation 15 min.  
Grilling 15 min.  

Spread Ingredients:

*  3/4 cup LAND O LAKES® Butter, softened
*  2 tablespoons finely chopped red bell pepper
*  1 teaspoon Italian seasoning*
*  1 teaspoon salt
*  1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Corn Ingredients:

*  12 ears fresh corn, husked**
*  12 (12x18-inch) pieces heavy-duty aluminum foil

Instructions:

Heat gas grill on medium or charcoal grill until coals are ash white. Combine all spread ingredients in small bowl; mix well.
Spread 1 tablespoon butter mixture evenly over each ear of corn. Wrap each in aluminum foil, tightly sealing tops and sides. Place packets onto grill. Close lid; grill, turning after half the time, for 15 to 20 minutes or until tender. Serve hot in foil.
Oven Directions: Heat oven to 425°F. Prepare corn as directed above. Wrap each ear of corn in aluminum foil, tightly sealing tops and sides. Bake for 20 to 30 minutes or until tender. Serve hot in foil.
*Substitute 1/4 teaspoon each dried basil leaves, dried marjoram leaves and dried oregano leaves and 1/8 teaspoon rubbed sage.
**Substitute 12 ears frozen corn on the cob, thawed.
TIP: Prepare spread as directed above. Cook corn as desired. Serve spread on hot corn.
