Halfway between a summer smoothie and it’s evil holiday twin eggnog, this spring pick-me-up is fast, light, fruity and amenable to a dash of vodka or rum as a healthy spring cocktail hour alternative.
Ingredients:
1 frozen banana, cut up (peel it and wrap in plastic prior to freezing) ½ cup plain nonfat yogurt ¾ cup fresh strawberries 2 sprigs mint (optional) Grated nutmeg
Combine all ingredients in a blender and puree until smooth and creamy. Pour into glasses and dust with nutmeg. The optional sprig of mint adds a touch of spring freshness.
