Pork sausage, bread cubes and Cheddar cheese bake in a spicy custard for a breakfast or brunch treat.
Ingredients: 1/2 lb. bulk pork sausage 6 cups white bread cut in cubes 1 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese 1 cup Pace® Picante Sauce OR Chunky Salsa 4 eggs 3/4 cup milk
Directions: COOK sausage until browned. Pour off fat.
ARRANGE sausage in 2-qt. shallow baking dish. Top with bread cubes and cheese. Mix picante sauce, eggs and milk and pour over all. Cover and refrigerate 2 hr. or overnight.
BAKE uncovered at 350°F. for 45 min. or until knife inserted near center comes out clean. Serves 6
