Grandma Mac's Pumpkin Bread

GRANDMA MAC'S PUMPKIN BREAD

Oh wow! I havn't made this since Thanksgiving but I made up four loaves today. I usually use solid packed pumpkin but today I used a can of Libby's Pumpkin Pie Filling...it was fabulous!

I followed the recipe but the extra spice in the pie filling really punched the taste up. The loaves didn't rise to a dome, like they normall do...but eventhough the loaves had flatter tops...the crust was crunchy and wonderful. I'll be using the Pie Mix from now on!

I used slightly smaller foil pans and actually got 4 loaves out of it this time. Three go in the freezer...and one to munch on...if there is any left when the boys get home

If you love pumpkin there is no reason to wait until the holidays to try this recipe. It's really great warmed with a little softened cream cheese on it, for breakfast.

Hope you try it!

LOL ... that's too funny Coe! I was thinking yesterday of making some of this when I saw a can of pumpkin in my cupboard!!! It sure sounds good!!

I, too, made this over the holidays - Thanksgiving and Christmas and it was a HUGE hit with everyone!!! DSIL took the recipe home with her and I think she made some at Christmas.

It's very easy to make and makes the whole house smell yummy!!!

Along with Colette, I also give this !!!!!
