Cheesy Sausage Biscuit Bites

*It doesn't get any easier than these savory little saugage morsels. Serve with a pot of spicy or honey mustard on the side!

CHEESY SAUSAGE BISCUIT BITES

2 packages brown and serve sausage links
2 packages crescent roll dough
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Brown sausages in a skillet until cooked through and drain on paper towling.

On a lightly floured board, roll out the cresent roll dough (one can at a time) just until the perforations disappear (you may need to press them together with your fingers...don't roll dough too hard).

Place one sausage link on the dough and use it as a guide to cut strips of dough, just as long as the sausage. Place 1 tsp or so of shredded cheese on each piece of dough and press lightly. Place sausage on top of cheese and roll the sausage up, just until dough overlaps a little. Cut dough with a sharp knife and press edges of dough together, to hold in sausage and cheese. When all the sausages have been rolled in cheese and dough, Cut each sausage into three "bites"

Place on baking sheet and follow package directions for crescent rolls. Bake them only until golden.

Plade a toothpick through the bread side of each bite and serve on a platter, with mustard!

Yields approx. 60 bites
